John Brown injury update: Cardinals WR shaping up to be game-time call for fantasy owners
The Cardinals could be without their deep threat on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. We break down the fantasy implications.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Sunday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
Brown has been toughing it out in recent weeks despite playing with two hamstring injuries, although his performance on the field hasn't reflected that. In Week 7's win over the Baltimore Ravens, Brown caught four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown, including an impressive over-the-shoulder 35-yard grab.
Brown was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday but returned for a limited session on Friday, and remains a game-time decision.
Fantasy impact: Brown is coming off of a short week and has a Week 9 bye, indicating that the team could have interest in holding him out against a non-conference opponent. As a result, his status is truly questionable for Sunday, and fantasy owners will have to wait until 90 minutes before game-time to adjust their lineups.
If Brown plays, he can be considered a WR2 against the Browns since he has already proven to be productive at less than 100 percent.
