Tennessee Titans running back David Cobb has been activated off of short-term injured reserve, the team announced.
David Cobb activated by Titans, could eventually be placed in fantasy lineups
The Titans have activated their rookie running back after his recovery from a severe calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cobb, a fifth-round pick out of Minnesota, is a powerful runner who expected to see much of the team’s backfield duties according to ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky.
However, Cobb recently hurt his chances when he reported to the facility overweight, according to former head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Antonio Andrews has produced in lead duties, but it’s possible that an effective Cobb would cut into that workload.
Fantasy impact: For now, it's difficult to project how the Titans will deploy their rushing attack with Cobb in the mix, but it's likely that he will take a backseat to Andrews and change-of-pace back Dexter McCluster in the short-term.
The opportunity presents itself for Cobb to supplant them on the depth chart, which is why he should be owned in 12-team leagues.
With Andrews coming off of a 111-yard game in Week 9, Cobb isn’t worth starting until he shows something to fantasy owners.
