New England Patriots running back James White will have an expanded role in wake of Dion Lewis' season-ending ACL injury, according to CSN New England's Tom E. Curran.
James White will have ‘opportunity’ to contribute, per report, should be owned in all PPR fantasy leagues
The Patriots will need to reshuffle their backfield with Dion Lewis out for the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Curran’s report stems from the words of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who will need to fill the void that a dynamic passing-down running back left behind.
White filled that role earlier in the season when Lewis missed a game due to an abdomen injury, but only touched the ball five times for 30 yards in a game where Tom Brady attempted 54 passes.
Fantasy impact: White’s role makes him more intriguing to add in PPR leagues than standard ones, but value still presents itself for a player who is replacing a significant part of the offense.
White should have immediate consideration for a handful of touches per game and have a chance to expand upon that greatly when the game plan calls for it.
LeGarrette Blount is still the preferred running back in New England for fantasy owners to have, but White should be owned in PPR leagues of all sizes. He makes for a decent flex option in Week 10 against the New York Giants.
