New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell will resume running on Wednesday, according to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News.
Larry Donnell resumes running Wednesday, fantasy status unclear
The Giants’ starting tight end is inching closer to returning to the lineup. We break down the fantasy implications.

Donnell suffered a neck injury in Week 8's shootout against the New Orleans Saints and was carted off of the field. His injury is one that had been considered week to week, and though he will resume running, there's no guarantee Donnell suits up for Week 10. Will Tye will start in his place once again if he is sidelined.
Fantasy impact: Donnell doesn't have the best of matchups looming against the New England Patriots, a team that is allowing just 5.1 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Only six teams are allowing fewer per game, making it a difficult scenario to envision where Donnell, a tertiary option in the passing game at best, can capitalize.
Donnell would be on the fantasy radar if he suits up, but mostly because of how shallow the pool of viable fantasy tight ends is. He would be a middling TE2 option against one of the league’s better defenses.
