The Buffalo Bills leaned heavily on the ground game to dismantle the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and with Sammy Watkins monopolizing the few pass attempts the team actually took, tight end Charles Clay remained an afterthought.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10: Charles Clay
The Bills hardly looked at their tight end during Sunday’s 33-17 victory. Will more targets be in store on Thursday night? We break down the fantasy implications.

Clay was left with a measly line of one catch for 6 yards, while Watkins soaked up 168 of the 181 yards through the air that the Bills accounted for.
Because the team racked up 266 yards on the ground -- even with LeSean McCoy exiting early due to a shoulder injury -- the passing game was an afterthought. Just 12 passes were attempted on the afternoon, with eight of them directed toward Watkins.
Fantasy impact: Watkins’ presence was expected to bump Clay down in the pecking order, but Watkins accounting for 93 percent of the passing yards is not something anyone could have predicted.
The point remains that Watkins is the primary target, although more room will be allowed for others to succeed in ensuing games. With Watkins being occupied by Darrelle Revis on Thursday night, expect Taylor to look toward his secondary and tertiary options.
Clay will be amid a prime opportunity to bounce back in Week 10, even against a daunting Jets defense. Because of that, Clay remains a low-end TE2 in a week that will have Anotion Gates, Coby Fleener and Jacob Tamme on byes.
