Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is not practicing Thursday, according to Mike Klis of 9News.
Emmanuel Sanders sits second straight practice, fantasy status in question for Sunday
The Broncos could be without one of their biggest weapons on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
It's the second straight practice Sanders has missed, as the Broncos' slot receiver continues to recover from an ankle sprain that he suffered early in Week 9's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Despite the injury, Sanders hauled in a 64-yard touchdown and finished the game with six catches for 90 yards and the score.
Fantasy impact: Despite Sanders’ production, missing Wednesday and Thursday practice sessions is more than enough reason to warrant concern over his availability for Sunday. Returning Friday would go a long way toward quelling pessimism regarding his status, but fantasy owners will have to play the waiting game in the meantime.
If Sanders plays at his usual capacity, he is a locked-in WR2 in leagues of all formats in a dream matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. If he sits, expect an uptick of targets to Demaryius Thomas and Owen Daniels.
