Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson did not practice on Friday, according to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune.
Vincent Jackson sits out Friday’s practice, can remain on fantasy benches
The veteran wide receiver continues to miss time due to a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jackson has now missed three consecutive weeks of practice since exiting Week 7's loss to Washington due to a knee injury. Though Jackson showed progress by catching passes off to the side during practice sessions, it still appears that the 32-year-old receiver is not close to making a return to the field. Donteea Dye is likely to start in his place once again.
Fantasy impact: Jackson's big-play ability makes him a viable option when on the field, especially with Jameis Winston continuing to make strides each week. However, his health isn't something fantasy owners can count on anymore despite playing in every game of the previous four seasons.
Fantasy owners have to continue to monitor Jackson's health from week-to-week, but those counting on him for a boost in the fantasy playoffs will likely have to look elsewhere. Mike Evans will continue to monopolize targets in the receiving game for as long as Jackson is sidelined.
