Marshawn Lynch injury update: RB listed as questionable for Seahawks, fantasy owners
The Seahawks running back is no stranger to the injury report each week, but Marshawn Lynch was a late addition to it in preparation for Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is listed as questionable on the team's injury report with an abdomen injury.
Lynch was a late addition to the report, getting a full session in on Thursday, but sitting Wednesday for a non-injury related reason. The Seahawks' feature back popped up onto the injury report because he sat out on Friday, but head coach Pete Carroll has since declared that he expects Lynch to suit up on Sunday for an important divisional game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN.
Fantasy impact: The Seahawks kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET, making things problematic for Lynch's owners. If they do not have Thomas Rawls stashed away on their benches, the situation could be problematic with barely any other options available to start in place of him.
For now, his owners would be wise to have him occupy a flex spot if possible and wait for news to break regarding his status. With Carroll expecting Lynch to be ready for game time, it isn’t the biggest risk in the world to keep him penciled into lineups. Lynch is a firm RB1 in standard formats if he plays at his usual capacity.
