Philadelphia Eagles running backs Demarco Murray and Ryan Mathews are both listed as probable on the team's injury report.
Demarco Murray, Ryan Mathews injury update: Both RBs listed as probable for Eagles, fantasy owners
Two-thirds of the Eagles’ running back stable is listed on the injury report for Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.
Each running back continues to deal with a groin injury, but neither is in any danger of sitting out Sunday's bout with the Miami Dolphins. Mathews and Murray each practiced fully on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and will suit up for Week 10.
Fantasy impact: Murray and Mathews owners may not have to be at odds with each other this week, as the Dolphins defense provides a rare opportunity where both backs could find success. The Buffalo Bills ran for 266 yards against the Dolphins defense in Week 9, and the Eagles should find plenty of room to capitalize as well, even if their running game isn't on the same level as Buffalo's is.
Murray is still the preferred running back to play in fantasy leagues across the board, as his usage and matchup put him in RB1 territory for Week 10. Mathews remains a high-upside flex in standard leagues, as owners with Frank Gore, Devonta Freeman or Danny Woodhead on a bye could opt for Mathews' ceiling.
