Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller will remain the team's No. 1 back, according to Andrew Abramson of Palm Beach Post.
Lamar Miller remains No. 1 RB despite Jay Ajayi’s production, immense fantasy value remains
The Dolphins offense continues to get production from Lamar Miller, but Jay Ajayi has added his name to the mix. We break down the fantasy implications.

Abramson's report originates from the words of interim coach Dan Campbell, who was asked about Jay Ajayi, the rookie running back who has amassed 89 yards in just 11 carries over his first two career games.
Despite finding plenty of room to run early in his career, Campbell stuck with Miller in the backfield for most of the Week 10’s victory and backed up his actions with strong praise for both backs after the game.
Via Palm Beach Post:
“Ajayi is a young guy,” Campbell said. “He’s still up-and-coming. He’s gotten better, but he still needs a lot of reps and overall from protection to blitz pick-ups, all those different things, to route running. Not that he can’t do it, but right now we have a lot of faith in Lamar Miller. But certainly we like the way Jay runs.”
Fantasy impact: There’s a lot to like about Ajayi’s early contributions, but Miller remains the running back to own in the Dolphins’ offense. Since Campbell has replaced Joe Philbin at the helm, Miller has scored a touchdown in every game and totaled 93 yards in all but one contest.
Miller remains a no-brainer RB1 going forward, although his fantasy owners would be wise to pick up Ajayi as a handcuff in case of injury.
