New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall did not practice on Monday, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Brandon Marshall sits out Monday, fantasy status bears monitoring
The Jets’ No. 1 wide receiver continues to battle an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Marshall is dealing with an ankle injury, which was evident during Thursday night's loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Jets' No. 1 receiver had to exit and re-enter the game to manage the injury, making it easy to understand why he would get a day of rest during a practice session held so early in the week. Marshall gets 10 days to recover from Thursday's injury in preparation for the Houston Texans.
Fantasy impact: It doesn’t appear that Marshall is in any danger of missing Sunday’s game amid a juicy matchup, since he was able to play through it on Thursday. However, it’s still an injury that bears monitoring throughout the week, as Marshall has not been 100 percent for at least two games. He has saved his fantasy owners with touchdowns in consecutive outings, but the catches and yards haven’t been there for the 31-year-old receiver.
Marshall remains a must-start in fantasy lineups across the board, but fantasy owners would feel much better if he participated in practices at full capacity.
