Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns has an abdominal injury and will see a specialist in Philadelphia on Monday to determine if surgery is needed, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Allen Hurns has abdominal injury, per report, could miss 4-6 weeks for Jaguars, fantasy owners
The Jaguars’ No. 2 receiver could miss significant time due to a core injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hurns has dealt with a laundry list of issues throughout his career, but has not missed any of the 25 games that have transpired through the course of it. O'Halloran added that Hurns could opt for sports hernia surgery, a procedure that would keep him sidelined for 4-6 weeks. The former undrafted free agent did not practice in preparation for the Baltimore Ravens due to a foot injury, but caught five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners have no choice but to remain glued to practice reports until a decision is made on Hurns’ treatment. Though Hurns has toughed it out on the field despite being no stranger to injuries, it appears that the most serious threat to ending his streak to date is upon him. With the Jaguars somehow only a game out of the division lead at 3-6, it’s possible that Hurns opts to avoid surgery, but far from a guarantee.
With the Jaguars’ next game coming on a Thursday, fantasy owners would be wise to have a backup in place for Week 11. Expect Allen Robinson to be thrown all the targets he can handle if Hurns sits.
