Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon is expected to play Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
T.J. Yeldon expected to play, per report, has difficult fantasy matchup Thursday night
The Jaguars’ rookie running back is expected to suit up on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Yeldon had been seen in a walking boot earlier in the week, but played in 84 percent of his team's snaps during Week 10's win over the Baltimore Ravens. To be sure, the Jaguars are going to have Yeldon test out his injured ankle during pregame warmups before confirming his status. On Wednesday, Yeldon got in a limited practice session and said he would be fine for Week 11's matchup, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners will have to check back 90 minutes before game time before penning Yeldon into their lineups, but at this point, he can be considered more likely to start than not. Despite Yeldon’s likelihood to play, he doesn’t have an inspiring fantasy matchup at hand against a Titans defense that has surrendered just two touchdowns to opposing running backs since Week 4.
If Yeldon plays, the volume should dictate him being a decent-floored RB2/flex option, but fantasy owners should view any significant contribution he gives as a bonus.
