New York Jets wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker fully participated in practice on Thursday according to the team’s official website. Both players were able to make their usual starts in last week’s win over the Buffalo Bills and will be ready to go this week against the Houston Texans.
Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker upgraded to full participation on Thursday, fantasy starts imminent
New York Jets wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker appear to be fully healthy again. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Both receivers have had a great rapport with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick this year, who is also expected to start on Sunday. Going into this week, Marshall has 57 catches for 753 yards and six touchdowns on the season while Decker has posted 42 catches for 557 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Jets face a Houston Texans defense that held the Cincinnati Bengals and quarterback Andy Dalton to just six points in Week 10. It was the first time all season that Dalton failed to throw a touchdown. Hopefully Fitzpatrick can get his two best weapons going early and often. He’s going to need to if the Jets want to win the game.
Fantasy owners can feel free to start both receivers, though they may have quite a difficult time against a red-hot defense. What’s most important however is that both Marshall and Decker are healthy as the stretch drive to the fantasy postseason kicks into full gear.
