Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson returned to practice on Thursday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Vincent Jackson returns to practice, fantasy status unclear for Sunday
The Buccaneers’ veteran receiver made an unexpected return to practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jackson was seen running and cutting during practice despite missing every practice since injuring his knee during Week 7's loss to Washington. Thursday marks his first practice in nearly a month, and his status for Sunday is unclear. It stands to reason that the Buccaneers could wait until Jackson has more practices under his belt before putting him back onto the field, since they've been so cautious with Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday that Jackson is expected to miss Week 11.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners will have to check back 90 minutes before game time to see if Jackson will be active, but seeing him running and cutting in a Thursday session is promising. If Jackson suits up, he will be in line to give Mike Evans a much-needed complement in the receiving game, and ample targets could travel his way as a result.
If Jackson sits, Donteea Dye would get the start once again, but isn't deserving of fantasy consideration. Jackson would be a WR3 with considerable upside on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles if he is activated.
