Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been a rare bright spot amid a season where not much has gone right for the team, and he exemplified his value during the Colts' last game before their Week 10 bye.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: T.Y. Hilton
The Colts’ No. 1 receiver is once again posed with the challenge of producing with a backup quarterback under center. We break down the fantasy implications.
Hilton was not expected to play Week 9 after not participating in practice and sporting a walking boot earlier in the week. He responded by catching five passes for 82 yards against the one of the NFL's stingiest defenses in the Denver Broncos. He was a big reason for the upset of a then undefeated team, and has been a reliable option to take the tops off opposing defenses all season long.
Fantasy impact: On the season, Hilton is averaging 78 receiving yards a game and has found the end zone three times, which is laudable given the struggles the Colts offense has faced this season. The task at hand won't be easier with Andrew Luck sidelined indefinitely and Matt Hasselbeck at the helm, but Hilton's big-play ability is ever present.
In the two games Hasselbeck has started his season, Hilton has caught 12 passes for 162 yards, so production is absolutely possible even with a backup under center. The Falcons defense has quietly allowed the third-fewest points to opposing receivers this season, but Hilton's ability puts him squarely in WR2 territory for Week 11.
