The Bears have a problem in their backfield, but it's a good problem to have.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Jeremy Langford
It largely remains a mystery as to how the Bears will divide their carries once Matt Forte returns from a sprained MCL. We break down the fantasy implications.
With Matt Forte on the mend, Bears brass must figure out what to make of Jeremy Langford, who has risen to the occasion filling in for one of the NFL's most talented runners over the last five seasons.
In the two games Langford started, the rookie has totaled 324 yards and found the end zone three times. But Forte returned to practice on Wednesday, which implies that there’s a chance the veteran could resume his post in the starting lineup for Week 11, leaving many to wonder how the Bears will distribute their carries.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners have to know that the Bears also play on Thanksgiving, which presents a difficult challenge for Forte to not only return after two weeks from an MCL sprain, but then take the field once again amid a short week between Week 11 and Week 12.
That would indicate that even if Forte suits up on Sunday, Langford should have a significant role regardless in order to keep Forte fresh down the stretch of the season.
It remains to be seen what role Langford will have once Forte is considered 100 percent, but in the short-term, Langford can be expected to have enough of a role on Sunday to warrant flex consideration. If Forte is sidelined, Langford is a no-brainer RB1 against the Denver Broncos.
