New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell has been cleared by doctors and is expected to resume playing, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
Larry Donnell cleared by doctors, fantasy value remains low
The Giants will get their starting tight end back into the huddle for an important divisional game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Donnell had missed his team's last two games due to a neck injury, but the Week 11 bye appears to have done wonders for the Giants tight end. Vacchiano reported that Donnell feels "100 percent" and is expected to supplant Will Tye in the lineup and resume his starting spot.
Fantasy impact: Though Donnell’s presence is a welcome addition for an offense that could use as much receiving depth as possible behind Odell Beckham Jr., Donnell hasn’t been a serviceable tight end for any fantasy owner this season. His game-high total of 38 yards makes him a touchdown-dependent option at best, and if a touchdown-dependent option has found the end zone just twice all season, there isn’t reason to deploy it.
Donnell’s best game of his career came against his Week 12 opponent in Washington, where he scored three touchdowns in a 2014 meeting. But fantasy owners are unwise to dwell too much on the past, and Donnell remains a low-end TE2 for Sunday.
