Anquan Boldin not practicing Wednesday, fantasy value low with Blaine Gabbert starting
The 49ers’ No. 1 receiver continues to miss time due to a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Boldin injured his hamstring in Week 6's victory over the Baltimore Ravens, played on a short week against the Seattle Seahawks, but then suffered a setback in preparation for Week 8. There is still a chance that the 49ers dress Boldin since it is so early in the week, but at 2-6, it's possible they err to caution and wait for their top receiver to get to full-strength first.
Fantasy impact: Even if Boldin suits up, it's hard to imagine any fantasy owner wanting to pen him into lineups during a week where Blaine Gabbert is starting. Despite Colin Kaepernick's struggles, Boldin had the potential to put up big numbers, as evidenced by his performances against the New York Giants, Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jerome Simpson would start in place of Boldin if he can't go, but the entire 49ers offense is one to avoid in fantasy leagues for Week 9, regardless of health.
