Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is practicing with the first-team offense on Thursday, according to Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News.
Sammy Watkins practices Thursday, on track to be fantasy option for Week 9
The Bills’ No. 1 receiver could make his return on Sunday after getting a bye week to rest. We break down the fantasy implications.

Watkins also practiced on Wednesday, indicating that the worst of his ankle injury is behind him. Watkins has suited up in just four of the Bills’ seven games this season and exited Week 6’s defeat early after catching a touchdown pass.
However, because he has participated in practice so much in preparation for Week 9, he is on track to make his return as long as he experiences no setbacks.
Fantasy impact: With Tyrod Taylor back in the huddle, as well, the Bills offense should have some life breathed into it against a middling Miami Dolphins defense.
A healthy Watkins can be expected to be the focal point of the passing game, along with Charles Clay, thus shifting Robert Woods and Chris Hogan into complementary roles once again.
Watkins remains firmly on the WR3 radar, but has upside for Week 9, making him a rare bright spot in the fantasy spectrum after an injury-laden Week 8.
