Brandon Marshall returns to practice on Thursday, should continue fantasy dominance
New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Marshall saw a season-high 18 targets last week against the Oakland Raiders. He caught nine passes for 108 yards in the game. The fact he has had ankle problems in the past and remained busy last week might have something to do with him taking it easy in practice.
Nobody should read too much into this report. Marshall has had a fantastic season, and although he is not exactly a youngster anymore, he’s showing no signs of slowing down. That said, fantasy owners may want to be careful in starting him this week given that quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to play with torn ligaments in his non-throwing hand.
It should also be noted that the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to surrendering fantasy points to wide receivers. Marshall is still worth starting although it may be wise to curb your expectations if you choose to put him in the lineup.
