Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton will be a game-time decision, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.
T.Y. Hilton will be game-time decision for Colts, fantasy owners
The Colts could be without their No. 1 receiver against a stout Denver broncos defense on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Hilton is currently in a walking boot after an MRI revealed a foot sprain, which subsequently held him out of Wednesday and Thursday's practice sessions. It's conceivable that Hilton would be able to play without practicing, but failing to be able to do so would significantly dash his hopes of being back in the Colts' huddle in Week 9. If he sits, an uptick in usage can be expected for Donte Moncrief and Andre Johnson.
Fantasy impact: Even if Hilton plays, fantasy owners should have a backup plan at the ready regardless, since he will be facing an elite Denver Broncos defense at what would be far less than 100 percent. The Broncos are allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, and just held Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to 77 passing yards in Week 8.
Though Hilton will always present big play ability when on the field, Week 9 doesn’t provide much of a reason for him to cash in for his fantasy owners, and he should only be started as a desperate flex option if he ends up taking the field.
