Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy suffered a groin injury in Week 9's loss to the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Eddie Lacy injured groin in Sunday’s loss, should remain on fantasy benches
The Packers’ running back continues to struggle in 2015, and now has a new injury to deal with. We break down the fantasy implications.

It's the second injury Lacy has suffered this season, with Lacy also suffering an ankle injury in Week 2's win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Lacy was essentially an afterthought on Sunday, carrying the ball five times for 10 yards and fumbling deep in his own territory. Even before his injury, Lacy was benched for three series in favor of James Starks.
Fantasy impact: The nightmare season continues for a player who has arguably been the biggest bust in all of fantasy football. A consensus top-five pick, Lacy has managed over 50 rushing yards just twice in 2015, while injuries and overall ineffectiveness have him taking a back seat to Starks.
It’s clear that Starks is the preferred option in the Packers backfield for the foreseeable future. While there’s still a chance Lacy could be favored once again in the rotation, he should not be placed in starting fantasy lineups until he shows something on the field.
Starks is a low-end RB2, and Lacy should remain on benches across the board whether he plays in Week 10 or not.
