Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington will have to play through pain if he plans to get back in the lineup despite his turf toe injury, according to beat writer Mike Jurecki. Ellington did not play in the team’s Week 14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
Andre Ellington will be questionable moving forward, fantasy value low
Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is going to have to play through pain or sit out. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Teammate David Johnson has put together back-to-back fantastic efforts since Chris Johnson was ruled out for the season with a broken leg. The team’s win over the Vikings clinched a playoff spot for Arizona, so in theory there is no rush to bring back Ellington anytime soon.
The good news is that Arizona now gets an extended period of time off as their Week 15 match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles takes place on a Sunday. Given that Ellington will have to push through pain in order to play and he’s now the clear backup to the younger Johnson, his fantasy value is probably as low as it’s ever been.
Fantasy owners likely won’t make adding Ellington a priority this week given that he won’t be eligible to play. Even after that, putting him on your roster is probably not a good idea.
