Fantasy Impact: While Bishop Sankey is ahead of Cobb on the team’s depth chart, Sankey finished with fewer than 2 yards per carry last year. That leaves room for a rookie like Cobb to make a good impression on the team. He should get some increased touches when the Titans take on the St. Louis Rams this weekend.
While it’s pretty hard to imagine a fifth-rounder lining up as the starting running back in Week 1, it’s clear that Cobb is strutting his stuff at the moment. Fantasy owners may want to monitor Cobb’s progress going forward. If Sankey struggles early in the season, the rookie may find himself moving up the depth chart before too long.
