Toby Gerhart will not play on Friday, fantasy value limited
Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart will miss the team’s final preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Gerhart has proven to be really effective in short yardage situations during the preseason and both he and teammate Denard Robinson have benefited from added exposure while rookie T.J. Yeldon has been sidelined with a finger injury the last few weeks.
Unfortunately for both Gerhart and Robinson, Yeldon is expected to play on Friday and see his first action of the preseason. Going forward, he is expected to be the workhorse running back in the Jaguars’ backfield throughout the regular season.
Fantasy owners should already know that while the veteran can prove dependable and steady, his prime years have passed by without him ever being a No. 1 running back. The carries belong to Yeldon in Jacksonville unless injuries dictate otherwise.
