Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah is perfectly okay with being part of a running-back-by-committee scenario, according to Carlos Monarrez of The Detroit Free Press. Abdullah has carried the ball nine times for 74 yards in the team's first two preseason games.
Ameer Abdullah, Joique Bell headed for committee, fantasy value handcuffed
Lions running back Ameer Abdullah says he has no problem with being in a running-back-by-committee situation. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Abdullah’s performance in the preseason has been impressive, without a doubt. As a rookie he seems to be saying and doing all the right things and on Friday, offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi expects to give Abdullah more work. Everything is looking positive for the new guy in the Motor City.
That said, he is just that. The new guy. Joique Bell has certainly done enough in his career to warrant a shot getting a big chunk of the carries, too. His downfall in contrast is not inexperience, but rather an inability to stay healthy.
Fantasy owners should take a look at both options in Detroit, giving Bell the edge based on his experience with the team and therefore his track record of proven results.
