Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal, Marquess Wilson miss practice Thursday, should be ready for fantasy season
Bears receivers Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal and Marquess Wilson missed practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: There is a good chance that none of the three receivers plays in the final preseason game on Saturday. Jeffery hasn’t played at all thus far and he’s the best receiver the team has with Brandon Marshall now a member of the New York Jets. Both Royal and Wilson, on the other hand, boast the exact same totals in their two exhibition appearances: three catches for 24 yards and no touchdowns.
It’s obvious that the Bears are just looking to get their starters some rest prior to the beginning of the regular season. Although quarterback Jay Cutler isn’t the most reliable, Jeffery clearly has the most fantasy value on the team next to running back Matt Forte. Royal and Wilson have some value too, but more so as fill-ins than regular fantasy starters. Fantasy owners should definitely draft Jeffery high, while Royal and Wilson only provide value as late-round picks in deep leagues or as waiver wire additions during the season.
