The Miami Dolphins had a clear goal in the 2015 offseason, and that was to get weapons for quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Despite several key additions, it's the incumbent starter Jarvis Landry who is expected to continue soaking up the bulk of the targets out of the gate.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 1: Jarvis Landry
The Dolphins’ primary target in the receiving game has a juicy matchup to begin the season. We break down the fantasy implications.
Though reports have surfaced that DeVante Parker is forcing the Dolphins staff's hand to get extended time after strong practices, Landry has the strongest rapport with his quarterback. Though the pecking order in terms of targets should ebb and flow throughout the season, Landry remains the best bet to be atop it at the season's beginning.
Fantasy Spin: It also doesn't hurt Landry's chances that he will be going against a Washington defense that allowed the second-most points to opposing wide receivers in 2014, and despite a revamped secondary, weaknesses still persist. Bashaud Breeland will serve a one-game suspension, leaving journeyman Justin Rogers handling slot duties against Landry.
There’s serious upside to be had for Landry this week, and he is squarely in the WR2 conversation. Fantasy owners who spent a fourth or fifth-round selection on him ought to have no hesitation plugging him into their lineups for Week 1.
