Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman has officially been ruled out for the team's Week 1 matchup vs. the Denver Broncos, according to the team's injury report.
Breshad Perriman injury update: Ravens WR ruled out, won’t play for fantasy owners Week 1
The rookie wideout will have to wait a bit longer before making his NFL debut. We break down the fantasy implications.
Perriman injured his knee on July 30, the first day of Ravens training camp, and has yet to return to action. No timetable has been set for the rookie’s return, and due to having such a long absence, it remains unclear when he will earn his coaches’ trust enough to be involved in the game plan.
Fantasy Spin: When the Ravens selected Perriman with a first-round draft pick, the expectation was he would contribute right away for an offense that lost Torrey Smith and Owen Daniels in free agency. Perriman's injury clearly threw a wrench into those plans, and fantasy owners will have to wait as long as the Ravens do for him to contribute to their lineup.
Though Perriman’s dynasty value remains high, it’s difficult to justify a roster spot for him in 10- and 12-team leagues until promising news comes his way regarding his status.
