Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, per the team's injury report.
Marquise Lee injury update: Jaguars WR ‘doubtful’ for Week 1, remains on fantasy football shelf
The second-year wide receiver will likely sit out Sunday’s opener vs. the Carolina Panthers. We break down the fantasy implications.
In just his second season, Lee has been no stranger to the trainer’s table, having missed three games in 2014 and frequently finding himself missing practices. In 2015, the sophomore wideout has been dealing with a hamstring injury throughout the summer, and missed all three days of practice in preparation for the Jaguars’ season opener.
Fantasy Spin: Hamstring injuries have been known to linger, and can keep fantasy owners in limbo as they wait for a clean bill of health. In Lee’s case, there’s no telling how long the wait will be, but owners shouldn’t be holding their breath. Lee remains unproven at the NFL level, totaling just 422 yards in his rookie season, and will have a crowded depth chart ahead of him upon his return.
Lee is worth a bench stash only in the deepest of fantasy leagues, and doubts continue to swirl regarding his dynasty value.
