Speaking with Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, The Buffalo News' Tyler Dunne said that the Buffalo Bills may resort to having three defenders on Rob Gronkowski when they square off against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Bills may triple-cover Rob Gronkowski on Sunday, Patriots TE remains elite fantasy option
The Buffalo News’ Tyler Dunne had an eyebrow-raising declaration regarding how the Bills will handle Rob Gronkowski on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The logistics of that seem a bit difficult, especially since the Patriots have other capable weapons on their offense. Though it may be a bit of an overstatement regarding the focus Gronkowski will garner, it's understandable as to why he would draw so much attention. After lighting up the Steelers for three touchdown receptions and bowling over would-be tacklers, the Bills will remain committed to making Tom Brady and company find other ways to score and move the ball.
Fantasy Spin: Even versus a defensive unit as elite as the Bills, there shouldn’t be any hesitation for Gronk’s owners to start him. His floor and ceiling remain miles above the pack, and he has an advantage over anyone who covers him, even if that “one” person turns out to be three.
Fantasy owners can once again pen Gronkowski in as a TE1, and shouldn’t be shocked if he finds pay dirt yet again.
