St. Louis Rams running backs Todd Gurley, who’s recovering from knee surgery, and Trey Mason, who’s dealing with an ailing hamstring, were full participants in practice on Thursday, according to beat writer Jim Thomas. Neither rusher was able to play in the team’s season-opening win over the Seattle Seahawks last week.
Todd Gurley, Tre Mason fully participate in practice Thursday, fantasy value for both increasing
St. Louis Rams running backs Todd Gurley and Tre Mason practiced fully on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: All of a sudden it looks like there may be a crowded backfield in St. Louis. Overall, it’s good news for the team on the field but makes things difficult for fantasy owners.
At the present moment it sounds as if Mason should be able to play on Sunday, while most assume Gurley is still at least one more week away. What makes things more complicated is that Benny Cunningham will still be worked into the mix, particularly on passing downs.
Fantasy owners should be excited that their running backs are getting healthier and, for now, it looks like starting Mason and Cunningham is something to consider. Stay aware of news that comes out prior to kickoff before making any final decisions.
