New Orleans Saints wide receiver Willie Snead should see more playing time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, according to beat writer Nick Underhill. Snead played just 18 offensive snaps in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Willie Snead to see an expanded role, fantasy value gets a bump up
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Willie Snead should be on the field more often in Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Snead was targeted just three times in the game but he did catch one of those targets for an impressive 63-yard gain. The fact he is about to see more action is a byproduct of the Saints having little to lose in the passing game. The air attack in New Orleans just isn’t as good as it used to be.
Snead’s impending expanded role on offense likely means that it cuts into the playing time of Brandon Coleman. Coleman caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals. He should continue to be involved going forward as well.
Fantasy owners should keep in mind that over the last number of years quarterback Drew Brees has been very effective at spreading the ball around and making the most of the receivers at his disposal. It may be a little too early to jump on Snead right now, but he could be a boom-or-bust option in deeper leagues as the season progresses.
