Golden Tate participates in practice Thursday, ready for fantasy start
Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate got in some limited work at practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Tate proved largely ineffective during the team’s Week 1 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He caught just four passes for 27 yards.
He’s been an overall disappointment since joining the Lions last year. Beginning his career with the Seattle Seahawks, it was obvious that Tate was on the verge of realizing some major-league potential. For whatever reason, things just haven’t come together for him in the Motor City. That’s not to say that things have been a total failure, but there is definitely room to improve in terms of fantasy production.
Fantasy owners can go ahead and start Tate against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. He’ll be a good bet to get his share of targets. Whether or not he can produce with those targets remains to be seen.
