Update (Friday, 2:47 p.m. ET): ESPN’s Diana Marie Russini reports that regardless of what McCoy’s designation is on the injury report, he is expected to play Sunday and have a big workload.
LeSean McCoy returns to Friday’s practice, fantasy outlook brightening
The Bills’ starting running back concerned his onlookers after leaving practice on Thursday, but is back in action on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy returned to practice on Friday, per Syracuse.com's Matthew Fairburn.
McCoy exited practice on Thursday due to hamstring tightness, which kept him out of action for most of the preseason. Speaking afterwards, head coach Rex Ryan said he "certainly hopes" that McCoy would be available for Sunday's bout with the New England Patriots, per ESPN's Mike Rodak. Having his starting running back practicing Friday bodes well for that.
Fantasy Spin: This is a good sign for McCoy’s fantasy outlook, but expect him to be listed as “questionable” on the team’s injury report. As a result, owners will have to monitor the news cycle and check to see if McCoy is activated when rosters are announced at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Should McCoy take the field, he will be immediately in the RB2 conversation against a defense that let DeAngelo Williams run roughshod over them in Week 1. But as a precaution, Karlos Williams should be on the benches in leagues of every format.
