Update (Friday, 2:51 p.m. ET): ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson reported that Jeffery’s injury is a setback related to his ongoing calf injury. Fantasy owners can interpret this as a downgrade to his hopes of playing on Sunday afternoon.
Alshon Jeffery misses Friday practice, likely a game-time decision for Bears, fantasy owners
The Bears’ top receiver will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was held out of Friday's practice.
Per Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell, Jeffery experienced hamstring tightness on Thursday and was subsequently held out of action the following day. Head coach John Fox has since called Jeffery "day to day." No update has been provided on Jeffery's status for Sunday's bout with the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Spin: Mid-week injuries are never music to the ears of fantasy owners, and it appears that Jeffery is shaping up to be a game-time decision. The Bears have been secretive about their No. 1 receiver’s status all summer long, when he missed significant time due to a calf ailment, and clarity isn’t likely to emerge sooner than it has to.
The saving grace is that the Bears have a 1 p.m. ET game slot, meaning fantasy owners can have the pick of the litter of contingency options if Jeffery cannot play. If he does, he draws a tough matchup lining up across from Patrick Peterson, and would do so at less than 100 percent. Jeffery would be a WR3 if he plays, while Martellus Bennett, Matt Forte and Eddie Royal can expect an uptick in targets if he is out or significantly limited.
