Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy did rehab work on the sidelines during practice on Tuesday. His hamstring injury may not be fully healed in time to start the team’s Week 1 game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN’s Mike Rodak. McCoy has been struggling with the injury throughout the preseason.
LeSean McCoy still dealing with injury, may not be ready for fantasy owners
Bills running back LeSean McCoy is still recovering from injury and may not be ready for Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Coach Rex Ryan’s exact quote on McCoy was as follows: “Well we certainly expect him to be ready to go, I hope.” That hope part indicates that while the injury probably isn’t long term in nature, there is still some doubt as to whether McCoy will make it in time for Opening Day.
With the team cutting veteran Fred Jackson in the last few days, Boobie Dixon would be the next running back on the depth chart to carry the load for the Bills, with Bryce Brown likely getting occasional touches, too. Both have some experience carrying the ball in Buffalo thanks to injuries to Jackson and C.J. Spiller last year, but Dixon is more athletic and thus possesses the higher upside.
Fantasy owners of McCoy would be wise to scoop Dixon off of the waiver wire now just in case. He could be a valuable handcuff throughout the season anyway, especially considering owners who drafted Jackson will likely be looking elsewhere for insurance now. Still, McCoy should be considered questionable at the moment.
