Victor Cruz unlikely to suit up in Week 1, fantasy value in limbo
Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is still recovering from knee and Issues. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: There’s a good chance that fantasy owners drafted Cruz as a late-round pick in the hopes that he might be able to start the season on time and recapture a prominent role in the team’s passing offense. It sounds like at least for now that will have to wait.
Prior to Cruz tearing his patellar tendon last season, he was still considered one of the best receivers in the NFL. Now with teammate Odell Beckham Jr. emerging as a superstar and his timetable up in the air, Cruz’s days as a top fantasy talent may very well be done. Fantasy owners can afford to hold onto him for a little while in deeper leagues, but considering some of the younger, healthier and more explosive talent available on other teams, looking elsewhere is probably the best thing to do right now. Rueben Randle and Preston Parker should see increased action in Cruz’s absence, but neither one did anything significant while he was out last year.
