Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill had a strong season debut in Week 1. He gained only 63 yards on 19 carries, but scored two touchdowns and helped the Bengals go up by enough that they rested him late in the game. Week 2 was almost the exact opposite for Hill, though -- the running back was held out of the end zone and gained only 39 yards on only 10 carries. Worse, he lost two fumbles and was benched for most of the second half.
Jeremy Hill benched after pair of fumbles, fantasy value could fall big-time
The Bengals sat down their second-year running back after a pair of fumbles Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hill's backup and eventual replacement Giovani Bernard put up big numbers. Bernard ran for 123 yards on 20 carries and added three catches for 16 yards. Those numbers came in the Bengals' 24-19 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Fantasy impact: Hill also suffered a knee injury in the first half, though that didn’t appear to be a factor into his benching. Despite Bernard’s obvious talent, Hill came into the season as seemingly the clear-cut lead back in Cincinnati. That appears to no longer be the case, and the situation is now looking like more of a timeshare. Hill will be ranked lower than normal for Week 3, and Bernard’s rankings will rise.
