The Green Bay Packers lost running back Eddie Lacy after only three carries Sunday night. Lacy was carted off during the team's opening drive with an ankle injury and didn't return to the game, which the Packers ultimately won, 27-17.
Eddie Lacy injures ankle Sunday, fantasy owners have to worry
Green Bay lost its star running back on the opening drive Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

A week after 99 yards from scrimmage and a score, Lacy had 9 yards on his three carries Sunday. His replacement, James Starks, ran for 95 yards on 20 carries and added 11 receiving yards on four receptions.
Fantasy impact: With the injury happening so late Sunday, it will obviously be until Monday at the earliest before a real prognosis on Lacy is available, though early reports indicate X-rays were negative. The need to cart him off and the quickness with which he was ruled out don’t bode well, but we don’t know enough yet to say anything concrete about Lacy either way.
If Lacy is fine to go forward in Week 3, he will remain right near the top of the running back rankings. If he misses any real time, though, Starks will skyrocket up the rankings. The starting running back of the Packers is a prime job, and Starks would see his ownership and usage percentage climb dramatically.
