Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly spoke Thursday and said running back DeMarco Murray would not suit up for that day's practice session, according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News.
DeMarco Murray will not practice Thursday, fantasy status in doubt
Bad things are getting worse in Philadelphia, as DeMarco Murray will miss practice due to a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Murray exited Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury that was subsequently reported to be minor. However, hamstring injuries can have a tendency to be difficult to overcome for skill position players, so missing time due to a mid-week injury isn’t out of the question. Kelly added that Murray’s availability for Sunday will depend on what kind of work he is able to do Friday and Saturday.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners would love to take some sort of action to bolster their lineup after Murray has singed a hole through RB slots across the spectrum, but there's no action to take. Owners can do nothing but monitor practice reports and hope that he can take the field on Sunday in a desperation game vs. a stout New York Jets front seven.
Should Murray take the field, expect him to be a low-end RB2 at less than 100 percent health amid a tough matchup. Ryan Mathews would get most of the early-down work if Murray sits, but even with the "starter" designation, fantasy owners can't be faulted for having either Eagles running back sit on their benches this week.
