Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro missed practice on Thursday as he continues to recover from a foot injury, according to beat writer Jeff Zrebiec. Taliaferro carried the ball seven times for 34 yards and a touchdown in last week’s loss to the Oakland Raiders.
Lorenzo Taliaferro misses practice on Thursday, fantasy status uncertain
Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro missed practice on Thursday due to a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Teammate Justin Forsett isn’t exactly lighting it up right now, so Taliaferro’s season debut, although modest and limited in action, may have just earned him some extra touches going forward.
That said, it would definitely take more than one week of him performing well in order for Taliaferro to legitimately be a threat to Forsett over the course of the entire season. Only one team in the NFL has given up more fantasy points to running backs than the Cincinnati Bengals, and it just so happens that the Ravens are hosting those Bengals in Week 3.
Fantasy owners will still want to start Forsett over Taliaferro right now, but the latter may have some added fantasy value in leagues that reward touchdowns more heavily. Perhaps the Ravens backfield will be one to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
