Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins drew concern after leaving Sunday's blowout victory vs. the Miami Dolphins and returning to the sidelines in street clothes.
Sammy Watkins’ calf sprain is minor, per report, could bounce back for fantasy owners
Sammy Watkins hasn’t gotten off to a hot start in 2015, and now has a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

However, Watkins is dealing with a calf sprain and is considered day-to-day, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Though fantasy owners and Bills fans alike will have to check the injury report once the team resumes practicing, Rapoport added that the injury is “not all that bad,” indicating that Watkins’ absence from game action due to this injury is squarely in the past.
Fantasy impact: It appears that the outlook is a good one for Watkins, but nothing can be concluded without at least knowing how Watkins fares in practice this week. With a juicy matchup ahead vs. the New York Giants, fantasy owners would love to have Watkins manning their flex positions in what could be a prime bounce-back opportunity.
If he plays, Watkins can be considered a WR3 for Sunday’s game, with plenty of upside to be had amid Tyrod Taylor’s stellar play to open the season.
