New Orleans Saints running back C.J. Spiller is "100 percent healthy," according to head coach Sean Payton, who said it to ESPN's Mike Triplett on Monday.
C.J. Spiller is ‘100 percent healthy,’ but needs more touches for Saints, fantasy owners
The Saints haven’t gotten what they need on offense yet amid an 0-3 start. Is C.J. Spiller the missing link? We break down the fantasy implications.

The declaration is actually a bit of a surprise considering Spiller's lack of involvement in the offense upon his return from a knee injury. Payton added that it remains on himself to get Spiller more involved in the gameplan, which should be the case after the dynamic running back got only three touches in a 27-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy impact: It’s nice to hear that Payton will emphasize this more, but words have never accomplished more than actions when it comes to appeasing fantasy owners. Spiller remains a high-upside commodity in an offense that needs playmakers in wake of Jimmy Graham’s departure, but there hasn’t been enough reason to warrant starting him yet.
Spiller played just 16 of 72 snaps on Sunday, and until he sees the field for significantly more time, he is best designated for a bench spot. His fantasy upside remains, but there’s no questioning its dormancy at this point in time.
