Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball will play a significant role in the team’s preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Jeff Legwold. Teammate Kapri Bibbs will also see the field regularly in the contest.
Montee Ball will see lots of action in preseason finale, fantasy value minimal
Broncos running back Montee Ball will get a lot of work to close out the preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Playing a lot in the final preseason game is usually not a good sign for a player hoping to see consistent playing time in the regular season. That’s true for both Ball and Bibbs, who are firmly behind C.J. Anderson in the pecking order.
Anderson didn’t see more than five carries in a game last year until Week 7, and by Week 9 he was clearly the team’s No. 1 rusher. At his peak, he carried the ball over 27 times three times in four weeks and his momentum lifted Anderson to 10 touchdowns on the year.
The stretch drive last season proved to be a spectacular breakout showing for Anderson, which means fantasy owners can forget about squeezing much out of any other Broncos running backs this year, barring injuries, of course. Ball and Bibbs are just tagging along for the ride at the moment.
