New York Jets running back Stevan Ridley expects to start the season on the team's PUP list, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Once that happens, Ridley would be forced to miss a minimum of six weeks of the regular season.
Stevan Ridley likely out until midseason, fantasy prospects low
New York Jets running back Stevan Ridley. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Ridley is competing for playing time with Christopher Ivory and Zac Stacy in the Jets' backfield.
Given that, the Jets would probably be more than happy to have him return to the lineup in the middle of the year with fresh legs. Generally speaking, it seems neither of the three would be big time fantasy options, unless of course somebody gets hurt.
Ridley is used to being in a timeshare scenario. He has, after all, spent his first four years in the league with the New England Patriots, never managing to become a bonafide lead back. Fantasy owners may want to take a look at Ridley once he's back in the lineup, but only if the Jets significantly struggle to run the ball or either Ivory or Stacy is out.
