Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams exited Monday night's game after aggravating his ankle injury early in the first quarter. It's an injury that is still having an impact on him two days later.
Davante Adams sits Wednesday practice, fantasy status unclear
The Packers haven’t gotten much out of Adams so far in 2015, and an ankle injury isn’t making matters easier. We break down the fantasy implications.

As a result, Adams is sitting Wednesday's practice, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. It's unclear whether Adams will suit up Sunday vs. the San Francisco 49ers, and if he doesn't, expect Ty Montgomery and Jeff Janis to soak up his snaps once again. Though Adams was absent most of Monday night's game, quarterback Aaron Rodgers still managed to throw five touchdown passes en route to his team's victory, indicating that they aren't going to rush Adams back into action if he isn't ready.
Fantasy impact: It’s been a disappointing season for Adams’ owners, who haven’t been able to cash in on the volume that was likely to come his way in wake of Jordy Nelson’s injury. Adams’ injury has certainly been a factor, but poor matchups while healthy have also contributed to that, as has James Jones’ re-signing with his former team.
Though bad luck has been evident in Adams’ slump out of the gate, if Montgomery continues to produce in Adams’ absence, Adams could see fewer snaps upon a healthy return. In the meantime, Adams can be stashed until he acquires a clean bill of health.
