Green Bay Packers starting running back Eddie Lacy had a positive outlook on his ankle injury Sunday night. The former Pro Bowler told the press after the Packers’ win over the New York Giants he was doing alright and he could walk on it, according to Rob Demovsky with ESPN.com.
Eddie Lacy’s status uncertain in Week 6 for fantasy owners
The Green Bay Packers starting rusher was positive despite suffering an ankle injury Sunday night. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Lacy went down in the third quarter after a Giants player landed on his left ankle during a short run and was unable to return.
Lacy rushed for 81 yards on 11 carries prior to his exit and seemed to be well on his way to another 100-plus-yard rushing game. He went on to say postgame, “we’ll see how it is going into next week.”
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Lacy’s ankle injury was not serious, but the starting rusher’s status remains uncertain for Sunday, according to Bill Huber of PackerReport.com. The Packers host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: This is a tough blow for Lacy’s fantasy owners. The fourth-year RB has been lighting the field up this season, rushing for just under 300 yards in only four games. Silver lining, owners should not lose Lacy very long since the injury is supposedly minor.
If Lacy cannot play on Sunday, James Starks will get the start. Starks has struggled early this year averaging just under 2 yards per carry. Don’t expect that to change against a tough Cowboys defensive line.
