Fantasy football trade advice, Week 7: Buy-low, sell-high wide receiver trade candidates

What wide receivers have the best and worst trade values heading into Week 7 of the 2016 NFL season?

It has been a interesting seven weeks for wide receivers in the NFL. The top receivers are staying pretty consistent with Julio Jones, A.J. Green and Antonio Brown leading the way. However, the middle of the wideout pack is wide open with a lot of receivers showing promise and some not meeting expectations.

Here is a breakdown of which WR fantasy owners should be looking to pick up and ditch from their rosters in Week 7.

Buy Low

Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys

Beasley is having a breakout year for the Dallas Cowboys. He has emerged as a favorite target for current starting quarterback Dak Prescott, with 390 yards and three touchdowns. He is also tied for No. 10 on the touchdown leaderboard, and should be secure in his slot role even when Dez Bryant returns after Dallas’ bye week.

Beasley has tremendous upside especially in PPR leagues. The fifth-year WR leads the team in catches, is the second-highest scorer behind Ezekiel Elliott, and is averaging almost 12 yards per catch. Not sure why Beasley is available in so many leagues, but he is ascending quickly and should be picked up immediately.

Kenny Britt, Los Angeles Rams

Britt has almost 500 yards on just 30 receptions already this season. He is No. 9 on the receiving yards leaderboard, averaging 16.4 yards per reception, and is projected to have over 1,000 yards this season. All this on a team that heralds the run first.

It is surprising Britt is so available in most leagues. Do not expect the eighth-year receiver to go unnoticed too much longer. Britt faces three of the four worst defenses against the pass in the league in the upcoming weeks.

Sell High

Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers

The Packers are struggling across the board offensively. Those struggles are really affecting Cobb’s fantasy value. Cobb has 293 receiving yards and one touchdown so far this season and now he is limited in practice with a back injury.

It may not be Cobb’s fault, but now is a good time to see what else is out there for the Packers’ double threat. He should be valuable enough for an RB3 or decent TE.

John Brown, Arizona Cardinals

Brown had big games in Weeks 3 and 4, but he has essentially been a non-factor for the Cardinals this season. The third-year receiver has three games where he has only caught one pass and he is yet to find the end zone.

Brown is still second on the target and reception list for Arizona giving him some trade value, especially in PPR leagues. He has caught 24 passes on 45 targets. Owners should look to deal Brown now, while he is still catching around 50 percent of his targets.

Current standard fantasy average: 5.0 points
Yahoo! fantasy ownership: 83 percent
Next four games: SEA , at CAR, BYE, SF
